About me
Hi everyone! My name is Beatrice Contreras and I am an architectural designer who strives to make a difference in the world of design, especially when it comes to architecture. I was born in New Rochelle, NY and grew up in Somerville, NJ all my life. I earned my Bachelor's in Architectural Studies with Cum Laude in 2021 along with my Master's in Architecture in 2023 at Kean University, Michael Graves College: School of Public Architecture.
With architecture, I have always been mesmerized to see how a sustainable space whether you enter into a building or going out to the park, it can influence and transform our evolving society in such a positive way that no words can explain it. As a child, I have always thought that I can make a difference and if I can contribute to that mission in any way possible, then I will go for that goal and achieve it to the best of my abilities.
While pursuing my degrees, I was able to learn how to work in fast paced studio environment while gaining an understanding of architectural principles, design techniques and project management. I consistently push myself to think critically and creatively though my designs and always strive to achieve excellence in every project I undertook so far, whether its projects that I have done in a team dynamics or an individual setting.
I have always been a team-player, always outgoing, detail-oriented, resourceful, friendly, and imaginative! I look forward to working on new endeavors that come my way and can't wait to start connecting with many folks such as yourself!
