Restaurants, cafes, bars, and sit-down areas are very few in number when people visit Beacon, New York for the first time, especially since its mainly faces the Hudson River. With the Hudson Long Dock Park, not only attracts pedestrians, cyclists to roam freely on land however the small kayak station near the river engages people to explore the various parts of the Hudson river in the warmer seasons. By incorporating a restaurant that floats on the Hudson River, it creates a new experience for those who have never been to Beacon and creating new opportunities for new types of programs to emerge in order to attract an audience to a site such as this one.
